The Geraden Smith Trio

The Geraden Smith trio is lead by emerging Toronto jazz guitarist Geraden Smith with rotating members on acoustic bass and drums. Geraden is constantly experimenting with a number of projects but his favorite orchestration is the guitar, bass, drums trio. He enjoys the transparency inherent in being the only chordal instrument and the textural possibilities created by the timbres of the instruments. The original compositions Geraden brings to the table for this ensemble are influenced heavily by traditional and modern jazz, contemporary rock styles and the blues. The Geraden Smith Trio is based out of the Greater Toronto Area and performs regularly at local venues and festivals.
